Unique Gift Ideas is a curated collection of products from independent British brands — the kind of makers and creators who pour everything into what they do, but don’t always get the visibility they deserve.
The site is run by Consilium Design Agency (CDA), a small digital agency that works with independent brands to help them grow. We build websites, run their e-commerce, handle SEO and marketing — and over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with some genuinely brilliant small businesses across the UK.
Why we built this
Through our agency work, we kept discovering the same thing: small brands making exceptional products, but struggling to reach the people who’d love them. A knife-maker in Peckham forging blades from Japanese steel. A family drinks company in Devon using organic ingredients from their own farm. A ceramicist hand-painting dog bowls in her studio.
These aren’t mass-produced goods with massive ad budgets. They’re crafted by people who care deeply about quality, materials and provenance. We wanted to create a place that brings them together — somewhere you can find a genuinely thoughtful gift without scrolling through pages of generic products on the big marketplaces.
How it works
Every brand on this site has been hand-picked. We know them personally through our agency work, or we’ve sought them out because their products are simply too good not to share. When you find something you like, you’ll be taken directly to the brand’s own website to purchase — we don’t hold stock or take a cut. The sale goes straight to the maker.
We think that matters. It means the people who actually made your gift are the ones who benefit from your purchase.

CDA has been supporting independent brands for over a decade — helping them launch, build their online presence, and find their audience. We specialise in e-commerce, web design, SEO and digital marketing for small and growing businesses. We’ve helped brands go from kitchen-table startups to established names with loyal customer bases.
Unique Gift Ideas grew naturally out of that work. We saw an opportunity to give our brands — and others like them — a shop window they wouldn’t otherwise have. It’s a passion project as much as a business one.
